A Modern Day Beauty Cinderella. With Charlotte Tilbury's last Christmas Campaign, highlighting a magical beauty gift, I came up with the idea of having a Cinderella inspired editorial story.
The initial idea of a lipstick altering and empowering my model will remain the same, however, I have slightly changed how this will be shown.
My first idea is to have three images for my editorial look, I am currently waiting to speak with my tutor about this but due to me being ill I have not been able to have a face to face conversation. The three images will show the stages of 'Lippy Ever After'. The first image will be of my model, in ragged clothing sweeping up her Evil Step Mothers make up, The next image will be of my model reaching out and taking a gift, a gift from her fairy god mother, which would be Charlotte Tilbury if this was an official campaign. This lipstick, which she received as a gift changes her life, much like the Glass Slipper from Cinderella. She becomes a woman, a woman of beauty, power and independence. The final image, will be of my model in a beautiful gown, standing on a grand staircase with her lipstick beside her.
The makeup and hair for this, is pretty much the same as the previous one I designed however the first and second image will be a little more understated, less make up and a little more 'dirty' looking to go along with the story. The last image, with regards to hair and make up is what will ooze Charlotte Tilbury and make the editorial story identifiable. My one concern with this idea is linking this to a current SS16 trend, which I hope to do so through the styling. I am currently research SS16 Haute Couture collections from brands such as Chanel and Leanne Marshell.
I have included a few mood boards to show my direction and inspiration for this story below. Some of the gowns included within the mood boards are from brands such as Chanel, Leanne Marshell and Zuhair Murad.
