Advertisement Final Idea

Day Vs Night

A Charlotte Tilbury Advertisement

My final idea for my Day and Night advertisement images has not changed significantly since my original idea was documented in a previous blog post. My idea, which advertises Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution lipstick line, is inspired by current SS16 trends on the catwalk with a focus on nude or red/vampy lip colours and my idea also references my brands motto, DNA and main purpose of 'Easily achievable' beauty for every woman. My idea is to create two near identical images, with the differences being only the lip colour. The lip colour defines whether my model is day or night. My reason for this is as my brand has this infamous easily achievable motto, I will show how you can change any daytime look into a glamorous evening one with one simple make up change.

My Day Time Look: My model will have flawless, sculpted skin which is minimal yet glamorous. The eyes will be defined with tight-lining black eye liner and small false lashes, minimising attention to the eyes but also not leaving them completely blank, the cheeks will have a subtle wash of peach coloured blush and a complementary daytime nude lip. The hair will be in a simple, elegant updo, which has volume due to its curls and texture. There will be on off centre parting also.

My Night Time Look: My model will have all the attributes of the above description for my make up look with only one minor change which will make that dramatic difference. The lip colour will go from nude to Hollywood red, which oozes glamour and sophistication. My models hair will appear to have been 'unpinned' from her updo with sleek Hollywood waves framing one side of her face.

The hair is the most difficult part of this planned look for me. I want to create old hollywood style waves for my night look which is something I don't know how to do.
I have been watching a few online tutorials to get an idea of how to do the look.
