Editorial Final Idea

'Lippy Ever After'

A Charlotte Tilbury Editorial

Inspired by Jeremy Scott, Moschino's Creative Director:
Disney Princess Finale Gowns made my life complete! Moschino is renowned for its accentuate designs and pop culture inspired collections. The disney gowns, which featured Sleeping Beauty, Belle and Cinderella were both crazy and amazing. I had originally looked at the collection but dismissed using Moschino as a brand to collaborate with due to the over the top nature of the brand, however, now my idea is concretely based upon Cinderella in a way I have reevaluated my decision and I believe I can use Jeremy Scott and Moschino as a collaborative brand.

Moschino/Jeremy Scott For Charlotte Tilbury:
A collection of toned down, Disney and Moschino inspired editorial images showcasing the power and rise of a woman after the gift of a Lipstick.

My editorial images, which is based upon a current trend or story, is again, in reference to the statement lips during SS16 Fashion Weeks. The lips are always the first part of a make up look I recognise when watching a runway show depending on the style of brand. Make Up designers such as Pat McGrath, my brands owner Charlotte Tilbury, and Val Garland all use the lips to create a focus. My idea is to create two images based upon a story of power. The power of a strong, independent and beautiful woman. The story is inspired by the fairytale Cinderella, who is given glass slippers to transform her life, I have adapted this fairytale into my own "Give a girl the right lipstick and she can conquer the world'  My images start out with a distressed, broken woman who has no strength, no power and no confidence. Her fairy godmother (Charlotte Tilbury, which was inspired by Cinderella and also CT's Christmas campaign 2015) has given her a mysterious rose gold, textured object, in which she opens and her life is transformed. This object is a lipstick, a beautiful red lipstick. My model appears in the next images as this strong, independent woman who can conquer the world.

The make up for my first image will be minimal, the skin will be perfected but the eyes will look bleak and the lips bare. My model will be dressed in ragged clothing. I will possibly be shooting this image in black and white and on location and during the editing process of creating my two page spread I hope to fade my first image into the next image which is based on the rise of my beauty Cinderella which will be shot in colour. The next image, will be of my model in a beautiful gown, with large bouncy curls and super glam make up. I want to go very heavy with my editorial look with contour, eyes and lips but making sure I keep to Charlotte Tilbury's brand style and to a normal beauty style shoot rather than completely avant garde.

The make up, which I intend to do is shown on my inspirational mood board below along with the final mood boards for hair and styling.

As my idea requires location shooting, which will most likely be outside or inside, I have sourced a photographer who is BA Photography Level 5 to ensure the images are of a professional standard and I believe shooting on location requires more skill than I have accumulated over the last two years as a student. The shoot will also require location lighting which means my photographer will be able to take out much more equipment than I would be able to. I am currently sourcing a few locations, possibly within Southampton as my model is local. The locations I am sourcing will be very grand, stately home type of locations which hopefully come through as soon as possible.
I have looked at Chilworth Manor, Avington Park and Kingston Lacy which all suit the kind of grand, opulence style I want to create.
