A galaxy of stars, moons and planet symbols embellished eveningwear across the board – our favourite incarnation being Alexander McQueen’s otherworldly dresses, smattered with glittering constellations. Magical.
Michael Kors.Burberry, Michael Kors, Mary Katrantzou and are giving us the most decadent textile offerings of all - brocades so shimmering and structured that they look like actual hammered metals. Folks, AW16 is the season to shine.

Chanel. A stitch in time: old-school, diamond-shaped stitching is back. Quilting comprised coats-cum-dresses at Chanel and bomber jackets at Haider Ackerman; panels jazzing up trench coats at Louis Vuitton and Stella McCartney; and pretty much your entire new season wardrobe at Sacai.

Roksanda. Low, sleek ponytails tied with ribbons were matched with pretty, pink lips and fresh skin.
Gareth Pugh. Using elastic underneath the models cheekbones, the make-up artist Val Garland created a distorted, fuller look. The hair was equally as interesting with the hair stylist Malcolm Edwards creating a horned finish using two twisted ponytails.
