BEAUTY AND MY BRAND



'As a makeup artist working in the fashion and beauty industry for over 20 years and as a busy professional woman and mother determined to look my best, I use the incredible transformative power of makeup on a daily basis. From a young age, I noticed the effect a beautiful woman had entering a room and wanted to understand her secret weapon. Then, at 13 I discovered mascara and personally experienced the power of makeup. I have been hooked ever since.
My father is a painter and my mother is equally creative so, growing up in Ibiza, I was surrounded by artists, writers, musicians and actors. I knew that I would do something creative too but it was when I met the inspirational makeup artist Mary Greenwell that I decided to train at the Glauca Rossi School of Makeup. As a young makeup artist, I was determined and persistent and built my network of professional peers – photographers, models and stylists – many of whom I still work with today. The 1990s – the era of supermodels who epitomized glamorous beauty and really embraced hair and makeup artistry – were inspiring and formative for me. I believe that every woman wants to feel beautiful, powerful and sexy and that makeup is a great way to achieve this.
I’m privileged to work with some of the most incredible people in the fashion and beauty industry – the world’s best photographers such as Mario Testino, Mert & Marcus and Terry Richardson; amazing designers such as Tom Ford, Stella McCartney and Christopher Bailey; the most beautiful women in the world like Kate Moss, Jennifer Lopez, Penelope Cruz and Rihanna; and other incredibly talented people like Katie Grand, Lucinda Chambers, Carine Roitfeld, Emmanuelle Alt, Charlotte Stockdale and Nicola Formichetti.


I’ve also worked as a creative consultant with many fantastic beauty brands and innovative labs. I love creating new formulas and discovering new beauty products so I’m thrilled to now be pouring all of my secrets and passion into my own range. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Having worked on a number of campaigns and fashions shows for Tom Ford, Michael Kors and many more I decided Charlotte Tilbury, although she has a vast career spanning 20+ years, her brand, Charlotte Tilbury Cosmetics is still relatively new, only launching in 2013. For me, Charlotte's work varies depending on who she is working for, in relation to her own company, she uses the 'Easily achievable' motto, with products designed and tailored to complete many different looks from 'The First Date ' to 'The Hot Date' all explained within her blog area on the website CharlotteTilbury.com 
I feel this brand is a great choice for me, I can challenge myself with some of the more glamorous looks and feel confident in creating simple, beautiful looks.

Charlotte Tilbury as a brand is a reflection of the artist herself. Charlotte has been a make up artist for over 20 years working and training with some of the most talented people within the industry. Charlotte is particularly well known for her attitude towards make up which her motto being 'Every woman should wear make up' and she adopts an easily achievable desire for her products. 
Charlotte creates personalised kits for her brand such as Dolce Vita, Kim Kardashian's go to look, The Golden Goddess, JLO's favourite look and The Bombshell, the kit includes the eye shadow, lipstick, blusher, mascara amongst other things which make achieving her stapled looks easy. 

Although Charlotte's brand is pricey, she prides herself on having the best of the best with her products being extremely well designed and thought of. She has numerous products including skin care. The packaging design of Charlotte Tilbury products are beautifully done, with pink and gold tones on the containers and her simple yet recognisable Logo perfectly positioned at the from, truly glamorous. Packaging is very important with luxury brands and Charlotte's is up there with some of the best. 

The design of her lipsticks, which are shown below have a very unusual style to the lipstick itself, with the design not being very typical to other brands.
